The Spice Route Cookery School
The Spice Route was established in North West Sutherland in 2013. We develop high quality regional Indian and Sri Lankan recipes combining local ingredients with the finest spices. We built quite a reputation for bringing the authentic flavours of the Punjab, Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala and Sri Lanka to the North West Highlands. Now based in Aberdeenshire we run The Spice Route Cookery School providing hands-on courses and demonstrations in Aboyne, Ballater and Tarland.

Cookery Classes and Demonstrations
Our first sessions at the MacRobert Hall in Tarland late in 2023 were a great success. We ran a series of demonstrations in Ballater and have hands on courses in Aboyne running through 2024 where we follow the Spice Route from Kashmir through India to Sri Lanka. The feedback from our"hands-on" sessions at Aboyne Academy have been great we have more events coming up after the summer break.
Here's one of the recipes we cooked at Aboyne Academy to give you an idea what to expect...

“The food is out of this world - interesting, unusual and delicate.”
“We've had a few meals from here now, and they're absolutely brilliant. The food is professionally prepared and can be taken home either defrosted to cook on the day or frozen to pop in our freezer.”
