Cookery Demonstration & Lunch, Week 4 : Sri Lanka

Join us for this demonstration event at the Beaton Craigie Room, Victoria & Albert Halls in Ballater where we show you how to cook authentic Sri Lankan food then enjoy a tasty lunch and chat about the spices, techniques and ingredients that make our food healthy, tasty and just a little different. Our final stop along the Spice Route is Sri Lanka where we sample a cuisine influenced by neighbours across the Indian Ocean. We’ll make a delicious Kukul Mas (chicken curry) with lemongrass and pandan leaf, Paripoo with coconut and spinach accompanied by a freshly made aubergine chutney. We will provide recipes to take away and a set of spices to allow you to recreate the dishes we cook at home.
Places are strictly limited to 12 persons and must be paid in advance. You can book a place using a credit or debit card. Tickets are £35 per person per session and include 2 hours of demonstration, lunch, recipes and a spice set to take away. We offer a 10% discount if you book all four events.
